About
This site started on 4 September 2006 as a small, HTML-based Geocities site. The idea behind it was to have a fan site that people could join, and that the forum and shoutbox and everything were build-in to the site. So many other fan sites don't have that, or if they do the forum is separate and they have a Cbox so the site isn't all connected. Here you can have one single username and visit all the sections of our site.
In February 2007, we moved our site over to php-fusion and starting constructing our site on the Garnet Group server. On 23 February 2007, Dakota's 13th birthday, the site opened to the public. We continue to get more and more members as time goes on, and we are also constantly adding to our site and our magazine to make it better! In 2009 we got a new admin, Karem, and changed servers to iVimbu, Inc.
In 2010 our site continues to grow. Our Gallery will open at the end of the Summer (hopefully completed). We are going to have some custom themes (instead of built-in themes with a banner) so the site is unique to Fanning World.
